eLM Academic Consultants originated as a result of observing the importance of quality in today's learning landscape. As a former teacher, Kate saw firsthand the importance of a consistent learning experience in an online environment which addresses the needs of diverse learners. With the wide array of learning management systems and technology available, it can be a challenge to utilize tools to their fullest potential while maintaining a quality learning experience, whether in a corporate or educational environment. eLM was created to make this possible.
Kate Langley
Founder and President
Kate has over fifteen years of experience in development, management and delivery of curriculum at the Post-Secondary level. She has taught at various post-secondary institutions and is a passionate educator, having graduated from the Master of Arts in Learning and Technology program at Royal Roads University. Educational technology, learning theories, effective pedagogical approaches in an online environment, instructional design, and program planning have been Kate's areas of focus.
Working as an instructional design developer and quality assurance specialist, Kate discovered her passion for curriculum and is an advocate for a quality learning experience for both the learner and instructor which includes content, usability, interactivity and use of instructional technology.
Along with her Master’s, Kate graduated with a Fashion Arts Diploma from Humber College, an Instructing Adults Certificate from George Brown College, and an Online Instructor Certificate from George Brown College.
eLM Academic Consultants have worked with a variety of educational institutions to design, deliver and evaluate curriculum. Our expertise and years of experience bring an innovative approach to curriculum where quality is priority.
